ABOUT

For Savour The Tweed, a multi-event experience celebrating the region’s flavours, Eddie collaborated with The Tweed Tourism team to develop a brand identity that resonates with both visitors and locals. Understanding that Savour The Tweed represents a journey through different locations and tastes, we used storytelling to unify each event, creating a cohesive experience across visuals and copy.

Savour The Tweed’s brand identity brings together a taste-led journey that feels nostalgic, grounded, and inviting—a celebration of community through storytelling.

NOSTALGIC
Look and Feel

Drawing inspiration from the timeless charm of family recipe books passed down through generations, we crafted a look and feel that evokes warmth and familiarity. The logo’s editorial feel captures the simplicity of a classic recipe book title, while the nostalgic elements extend across hand-drawn illustrations, candid photography, and a “cut-out” style framing for images. Each of these touches connects guests to the idea of tradition, creating a visual narrative that feels both homey and memorable.

EARTHY & INVITING
Colour Palette & Copy

The colour palette draws directly from The Tweed landscape: deep, earthy browns symbolising farmland, soft blues representing the coast and sky, and a hint of vibrant pink for a pop of energy. Used sparingly in hand-drawn details and website links, this pink breathes life into the design without overwhelming it, reinforcing a sense of place that feels authentic and grounded.

With a flexible brand identity, Savour The Tweed can be easily adapted by other event hosts and organisers, ensuring consistent storytelling across multiple touchpoints.

The copy, inspired by our tagline, “From coast to valley—a taste-led journey awaits,” invites both locals and visitors to embark on a shared experience, celebrating the unique flavours and stories of the region.

STORYTELLING
Website

The website intentionally reflects the festival’s storytelling focus and journey through the region. Blending nostalgic visuals with earthy tones, the site guides visitors through the event program, mirroring the coast-to-valley experience. Hand-drawn elements and inviting copy create a cohesive narrative, aligning with the festival’s celebration of flavours, places, and community.
