ABOUT

Rosi is a wine bar on Hastings Street, Noosa Heads. Basque-inspired share plates, refined cocktails, and a wine list built for lingering, in a room designed to work just as well for a quick drink as a long night.

The brief was rare in that it covered everything at once: brand identity, website, and the interior design of the space itself. Nothing could be designed in isolation. It all had to work together to give the full picture.

When Belmondos came to us with the name Rosi for their new wine bar, we knew straight away who she had to be. A dog, of course. An elegant one.

When Belmondos came to us with the name Rosi for their new wine bar, we knew straight away who she had to be. A dog, of course. An elegant one.

We built her as a dalmatian: cheeky, a little indulgent, completely herself. She loves a glass of something special, she snacks all day long, and she’s happiest stretched out on the couch, or down at the beach.

Once we knew who Rosi was, the rest of the brand followed. Her personality shaped the illustration style, the identity, and the website, right down to the logo animation.

Designing the brand and the interior at the same time meant Rosi’s story wasn’t confined to a screen. She moved into the space.

Her spots turn up in a custom bench seat fabric. Her story runs across a custom acoustic panel mural. We designed the furniture from scratch throughout: bar stools made specifically for Rosi, dining chairs as a shorter version of the same silhouette, and cafe-style stainless steel tables to bring some lightness against all that warmth.

The venue was originally cold, industrial, and small. We warmed it up, pulling the palette back to terracottas and caramels, and introducing new tiles, textures, and materials throughout.

The bar sits at the heart of the room: a quartzite benchtop in tones that match the brand colours almost exactly, wrapped in hand-laid tile.

The result is warm, layered, and full of personality. Unmistakably Rosi, inside and out.

The website carries Rosi’s character through in full, down to a custom logo animation and links that tilt on hover.
